Please read the two poems in the attached document and post the following, as a comment on this entry:
- When you come to a "fork" in the road of your life, and you have two roads, but you do not know which one to take, how can you choose the "correct" one?
- How do you know if choosing the other one would have been better?
- What is it that you are searching in your life as you are young?
- Do we ever reach what we are seeking in life? Explain.

1. well what I commonly do, is that in my mind I make a list of advantages and a list of disadvantages of a particular decision and by the results, I guide myself to choose the correct one.
ResponderBorrar2. I realize if choosing the other one would had been better after seeing the bad results of my previous decision.
3. As a young dreamer I look for the success of my professional career and the coveted happiness that only appears in our life momentarily and then disappears once more.
4. Even though, we fight for reaching an enormous dream or goal, in many cases that dream never comes real; perhaps we do not get it because it is not the plan or the porpuse that God has for our lives. Or maybe we do not do the right things for reaching it, and we do a mediocre effort for getting our dreams or goals.
Hi Andrea, I want to say something about your second point; Do you realize if choosing the other road would have been better just by seeing the bad results of your previous one? why did you say bad results? what about the good ones? and nother thing is that I think that more than seeing the results you should experience the other one before you make your conclusions.

In my personal opinion, I have lived many situations like this, and what I do is to take the risk of choosing something, but once that I have thought the consequences once that I have analized the two roads, but besides taking the risk and analizing the situations, there is a key to choose our destiny and that is called "experience".
ResponderBorrar2. I think that the only way to know if taking another option would have been better, is to go back over our steps and experience the other road, otherwise I think is impossible.

As we are young there is no only one thing we are looking for, on the contrary, there are many, and that is why we are young, because we are able and we have the opportunity to achieve everything we propose to ourselves, but in general what I am searching in my life is to be successfull in everything I do.
4. Sometimes we reach the things that we look, but in most cases those things will depend on us, if we appreciate those achievements they are going to last for a long time, but if we comforn and we do not do anything to keep them or to improve them they are going to dissapear, but in my opinion I think that is a fact that when we propose something and we really want it we get it, so the things that we do not reach it is because we do not work hard enough.
On point four you said '' the things we do not achieve is because we do not work hard enough '' could be true, but if you think that when you do not feel motivated with the road or the way you chose is not going to work hard
BorrarBut that is because you do not feel excited, passionate or if we speak professionally it may not be your vocation. That way you should try again and this time through really hard work.

I understand and respect your view, and I understand what you meant, but remember that if you are searching for something it is because you decided it not because someone else forced you to search it, therefore you should feel exited and passionate, unless you feel unmotivated but due to external factors or problems but not by the thing itself.

ResponderBorrar1. I think there is no specific way to choose it is just an instinctive way that tells you what to do, which way to go and according to your spirit you will do what you think is right.
2. It is known until you reach the end of your own path, when you make a balance of your life and the way you have lived such as things won and lost. And if it is not too late you can start over.
3. Firstable look for my identity, then the search of my being in addition to projecting security and confidence so in that way the decision-making of my youth, affect favorably my eld.
4. We do not always get or achieve what we want, but we are able to adapt and be happy with what life gives us through our effort. In case we are not able to adapt we become dissatisfied beings. So our effort and what we achieve is proportional to who we are.

Dear Josseline, I totally agree with your second opinion; life always gives us second chances and if we are smart enough to take advantage of them, we will succeed in every single thing we do.

BorrarQuestion 1: I think if I have two roads I will choose them depending on my visions and objectives, maybe I will choose the less passable because we need to take a risk and be original we know the people always follow the same, but we are unique in the world so we need to do the thing in the best and different way.

Question 3: When we are young the most important events are love, relationship, fun, money and an easy life, but, is not the point for the lifes because, having personal goals helps keep us going and they give meaning to our lives and help us feel good about ourselves as we work towards them.
Question 4: I think people never are fulfill with their plans, visions or goals, because we live in a society that makes us feel frustrated if we do not have enough achievements for this reason if we achieve something we want to have more and more, in this way people never feel completely satisfied.
Hi zully I am a little disagree with your comment number 4 because if we can be successful and be happy everything is in our mind and attitude. The world should not matter because people are never well and that only slows us down to find our goals

Yes, of course many times... sometimes we pray to God for may thing and them come true.. for instance a good job, a car, a house , good friends, a handsome man...however human being never are in accordance with they have. And trying to find new things everyday to satiate their gluttony they forget to enjoy all the blessing they have around them.
I agree with part of your answer in #3 where it says that we look for adventures but I desagree when you say that every experience lived draw a smile in our face cause some of them are like nightmares , not always make us happy to remember
BorrarHi Melissa.I'm totally agree with your (A1)I think everything happes for a reason.It doesn't matter the choice you do. All depend on our attitude. Life bring us good and bad moments we just have to carry on in those times and see our mistakes as oportunities.

I choose by intuition because I can’t say that there are pros or cons in either of the two ways, because I don’t know any of them and that’s why life conspires for all things to go well and what makes the difference is the decision I can take whether it is good or bad, it’ll allways take me to my destiny.

1-If I have two roads to take,I'll not know what they have,surely both roads have advantages and disadvantages anyone i choose is a risk. I don't think too much about it, i just do it. In the path I'm sure I'll find things that i don't expected to find.

ResponderBorrar1) I think there's no possible way to choose the "correct one" for two reasond: First, if I don't know any of the two ways, how can I judge something that I don't even know? We tend to make misperceptions of everything we see, without even bothering us of getting to know before judging anything. Second, life is all about "trial & error" and the only way of taking "good" decisions is taking risks and making mistakes.
2)Maybe if on the way I choose I find more risks than lesson, it would make me reconsider about my decision.
3) I want to be a person who inspires others to always make an extra mile in everything they do, because it worths it. I wish that one day I can make a contribution to improve the decadent and deplorable situation in my country.
4) I consider that we are responsibles of creating our own opportunities. The only boundaries that stop us are the ones that exist in our minds, the world is full of possibilities, but at the same time, ithe is full of critics. Our world desperately needs less critics and more encouragers. So let's liberate our minds of doubts; because doubts kill more dreams that failure will ever do.
I agree with your points, sometimes It is neccesary to take a risk and learn about the things we did bad. I like your point #3.

I agree with you in some point of your first answer but, I think that more than instinct we know what we want. We analyze the possibilities of both sides and then we decide which way might provide us good benefits. And then we know which way suits us.

ResponderBorrarThree years ago, I had a dilemma: to study at UNAH or at the UPNFM and what helped me to take a decision was my family and what I really want for my future, and the phrase: where I see myself in ten years.
For sure you know which decision I took! :)
#2: Maybe you would never have the answer if the other road could be better. But once you have made your decision you must live your present, and do not regret of what might be different but is not.
#3: I am searching for “Happiness” but what is happiness? For me: time with my family, doing what I like since I was a child, in other words a teacher.
#4: If we have a clear objective or goal, we could achieve it working hard for it, because everything has a degree of difficulty. But sometimes there are things out of our hands that we can not change.

There is a phrase that I like that says "the perfect is the enemy of the good". Many times we seek to be perfect, and I know that it is not bad to want to be that it but we must learn that not everything in life is how we wish and that we must learn to enjoy small things that many times we do not realize that they are there in our life for us.
3. 3. When you’re young, you seek to achieve short-term goals, things that are superficial in our way that in the end do not have as much relevance to our personal progress. When we are young we are full of dreams and many times we have goals, which we should never think that cannot be carried out by some conditions of our lives I think that no matter the age or how long has elapsed we must pursue and persevere to achieve Those longings of our lives.

In my opinion if we achieve what we want in our life when we really have fixed goals when we realize what we in reality want we can achieve through effort and sacrifice and being optimistic people that we never give up despite the stumbles or obstacles that we encountered along the way. ResponderBorrar1 in my life i have taken bad and good decitions as well, and i take in account two facts the first one is; how i see in my future if i dont take the risk to choose one, because one thing that i really hate is to wonder what would have been if i have done something, so thats why i always choose that decition that makes me feel in peace and happy and the second one is that i take in acccount the opinion of my yfamily.
2. once i choose one i never wonder for the other one because i trust in that what makes me feel happy and is according with my values is good enough for me.
3.to continue to continue growing up as a person, to learn, to serve ,to be happ as much as i can.

I think that there is no exact way to choose the right path that we should choose but when we are presented with two or more opportunities from which we must choose only one, we choose the one that gives us more advantages at the moment or the one that is seen easier, although not always the best decision since many times we act by instinct.

3. Being young what I have looked for experiences that make me fall into my reality, of course there are always dreams that I want to achieve but I know that the experiences, whether good or bad, will make me learn about life and how to face it.

Borrar1. By previewing the benefits and drawbacks that both might bring me up. Putting both decisions in a balance to see which one is more convenient to me and my fellow. I read a quote that said, "solutions to problems come after thinking on something very deeply."
ResponderBorrar2. I can know it because, before making a decision I've invested enough time thinking of possible pros and cons. Then, I already know that in life making a decision has to do with establishing preferences, which subsecuently means rejecting other. Then if I have chosen for any particular thing, then I should be fullfilled because it is what I considered the best for me. If at the end it was not the best choice then I will certainly learn a lesson out of it in order no to make the same mistake twice. Life is an endless learning experience, and that is what life is like.
3. Becoming fullfilled by reaching all my goals which will bring good to my beloved ones and others.
4. Not always, and it is not because a matter destiny, but the fact that we don't do what it takes to accomplish our goals. We say, "I want this..., I want that..." but we don't really desire it since we are not willing to work hard for it.
